Gobble Guts Meals
Why should I choose Gobble Guts meals for my child?
At Gobble Guts we value your children’s nutritional needs above all else. Our experienced
nutritionist has carefully selected the ingredients in each meal with the health of your little Gobble Guts in mind. Our meals are free from the nine common allergens (dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, sesame and soy), are gluten free and contain no added sugars, additives or preservatives. Gobble Guts meals contain:
- macro-nutrient ratios to support healthy growth and development for infants over six months.
- fibre and a variety of prebiotic foods to support the digestive function and the development of a healthy microbiome.
- ingredients which increase bio-availability (the proportion of the nutrient that is digested, absorbed and metabolised through normal pathways) of nutrients.
- healthy fats to increase absorption of fat soluble Vitamins A, D, E and K.
- legumes and grains which are soaked prior to cooking to help reduce the amount of anti-nutrients. The reduction in anti-nutrients increases the absorption of zinc, iron, magnesium and calcium.
- non-haem iron, paired with Vitamins C and A to aid absorption.
- culinary spices, including black pepper and ginger, used to stimulate digestion and increase absorption of zinc, iron, calcium and beta carotene.
- garlic and onion to help increase the absorption of iron and zinc when cooked with grains.
What age groups are the meals suited to?
Gobble Guts meals are created by our nutritionist for babies from 6 months of age. We offer two meals sizes – 130g meal for babies and toddlers from 6 months to two years and 250g meal for kids from three to five years.
Whilst some Gobble Guts meals contain grains that may be more difficult for babies to digest, all legumes and grains used in our meals are soaked prior to cooking, which helps reduce the amount of anti-nutrients. The reduction in anti-nutrients increases the absorption of zinc, iron, magnesium and calcium and also makes it easier for your little one to digest the grain.
Are your meals allergen free?
Absolutely! All Gobble Guts meals are free from the nine common allergens (dairy, eggs, fish,
crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, sesame and soy), are gluten free and contain no added sugars, additives or preservatives.
Are there any preservatives, additives or added sugars in the meals?
No. When you receive your Gobble Guts meal you can feel good knowing that what you see is what you get! We don’t believe that food should contain additives or preservatives. What goes into your little one’s delicate tummy is important so we only add real food to our meals.
We also don’t add any sugar to our meals. Any sugar in our meals is naturally derived from whole fruits and vegetables and our food is flavoured with natural spices and herbs.
Why do you leave skin on the fruit in your meals?
We leave the skin on some fruits in our meals so your little one receives all the beneficial nutrients on offer. Generally speaking, non-peeled produce contains higher amounts of vitamins and minerals compared to its peeled counterparts. For example, a raw apple with skin contains up to 332% more vitamin K, 142% more vitamin A, 115% more vitamin C, 20% more calcium and up to 19% more potassium than a peeled apple! You can be rest assured knowing we always steam the apples so they’re soft enough for little mouths to handle.
Serving and Storing Meals
What if my little Gobble Guts can’t finish their meal?
Don’t worry! Many of our customers have babies just starting on solids. We understand these little people can’t always finish a whole meal so to avoid wastage, we recommend that while the meal is frozen, you break off the portion of the meal you’d like to serve and leave the rest in the freezer. That’s why our meals all come in resealable bags.
How do I heat the meals?
Stove top: remove thawed or frozen contents from bag, place into a saucepan with a splash of water and stir over gentle heat until warm.
Microwave: remove contents from bag, place into microwave safe dish, stirring halfway through:
For 130g meal size:
– heat frozen meal on high for 1 – 1.5 minutes; or
– heat thawed meal on high for 20 seconds.
For 250g meal size:
– heat frozen meal on high for 2 minutes; or
– heat thawed meal on high for 30 seconds.
*Always check the temperature before serving to your little ones.
How should I serve the meals to my little Gobble Guts?
Our main meals are delivered to you chopped, so you can serve them as finger food or, if you prefer, they can also be mashed, pureed or added into your little one’s portion of the family meal for added nutrition.
As parents, sometimes you need to be sneaky when it comes to feeding nutritious meals to our little ones. We get it!

You’ve come to the right place! At Gobble Guts, our meals can be provided in countless ways so even the pickiest eater can eat a nutritious diet. It’s entirely up to you and your little Gobble Guts.
How long do the meals last in the freezer?
Gobble Guts meals, provided they are kept frozen, will last in the freezer until the use by date specified on the packaging, which is six months from the date they were prepared.
How long can I store the meals in the fridge once thawed?
Gobble Guts meals will last two days in the fridge once thawed.
How long do meals last once heated?
Once heated, Gobble Guts meals must be consumed immediately and any left overs discarded (although you may be tempted to eat them yourself)!
Are the meal pouches BPA free?
Yes. The meal pouches we use are certified BPA free and have been approved by ACT Health.
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
At this stage, we haven’t applied to be a registered NDIS provider, however our staff are highly skilled, passionate and dedicated to improving the quality of life for kids with disabilities and their parents and carers.
If you’re an NDIS participant, you can still purchase Gobble Guts meals if your NDIS plan is Plan Managed or Self Managed. If you Self Manage your NDIS plan, we will send an invoice to you to pay and you will then have to manually claim the funds back from the NDIS – and if you’re Plan Managed, your Plan Manager does this for you.
Can I add meat to the meals?
Of course. Many of our families incorporate small amounts of meat (such as cooked chicken or fish) into the meals by cutting it into small bites and mixing it through the meal. If you’re feeling creative, you could add an egg and make your little one an omelette. If you’re looking for meat free protein, you’ll be happy to know we offer many meals that are packed with plant-based protein like kidney beans, lentils and chickpeas so your child is not missing out on this essential nutrient.
Help! I’m trying to feed a picky eater, will they eat Gobble Guts meals?
In our experience as parents, we’ve learnt its normal for little ones to be fussy eaters – that is, to not like the taste, shape, colour or texture of particular foods. Our kids may love something one day but will refuse to touch it the next and will eat more or less from day to day.
It can also take between 10-20 times of your child just seeing a food before they will try it, so don’t give up! This all happens because fussy eating is part of children’s development. It’s a way of exploring their environment and asserting their independence. While we can’t control how much our kids will eat or whether they eat anything at that meal, we are responsible for what, when, and where our little one eats. By offering a variety of flavours and textures from the time your little one is ready to eat solids, you are paving the way for an adventurous eater later in life.
There are herbs and spices in your meals. Are these safe for my little one to consume?
Absolutely! At Gobble Guts, we believe variety is the spice of life. We use small quantities of herbs and spices in some of our meals to assist with palate development, give your little ones exposure to as many flavours as early as possible and to increase the nutritional value of our meals. Research shows that early and repeated exposure to variation in flavours increases the likelihood your child will accept a wider range of foods later in life. Give it a go, but don’t forget it can take between 10-20 times of your child just seeing a food before they will try it, so don’t give up!

How much does delivery cost?
A delivery fee of $9.95 ($12.95 for Sydney, Central Coast and Wollongong) applies to all orders under $89. If you spend over $89, you will qualify for free shipping. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer delivery for orders under $49. If you would like to place an order for less than $49, please contact us and we can arrange for you to collect them from our kitchen.
Do I have to be home to receive my delivery?
We deliver your meals to you in a specialised thermal insulated box which contain ice packs to keep your little one’s meals cool for up to 4 hours. This time frame is weather dependent and will decrease in warmer weather. Please ensure you put your meals in the freezer as soon as possible. If you are happy for us to leave the box in a safe place unattended, you won’t need to be home to collect the meals.
Your delivery will be left at your front door, gate, or office reception unless you have advised a specific location in the ‘delivery notes’ when placing your order. Please note the delivery label on your box has your name and address visible.
Are the delivery boxes recyclable?
Our boxes can be recycled in your kerb-side recycling bin.
Can I return my ice packs?
Absolutely! Just leave your ice packs in a safe place for us to collect when we deliver your next Gobble Guts delivery.
What do I do if my order is not as I expected (packaging damaged, incorrect meals, etc)?
We value your feedback. Please get in touch with us via email or on 0438 327 374 as soon as possible and we will attempt to address your concerns and rectify the issue.
